|Secret To Getting Anything?|
Hip-Hop, Michael Phelps, and Peak Performance
I am unashamed to copy the peak performance techniques of peak performers.
Since "imitation is the highest form of flattery," I am pleased to flatter one whose success I admire.
After all, I am after the success. Originality is great, but reaching my goal is the issue.
However, there are limits.
Olympic champion swimmer Michael Phelps, winner of six goal medals and eight overall, likes hip-hop. Some even follow the word "hip-hop" with "music."
When asked, "What do you think about when you are in the water?" he responds, "When I'm swimming one thing that's going through my head is doing anything I can to get my hand on the wall first.
"Sometimes it doesn't always happen but there's always a positive thought in my mind.
"And also I'm singing a song in my head ... whatever I was listening to before I got into the water."
That song is likely to be Eminem's "Till I Collapse," Notorious B.I.G.'s "Ready To Die," or something from Twista.
(Ah, right. I could do a search, but maybe later.)
"I just like the sound of hip-hop," Phelps says. "I love Jay-Z and 50 Cent and I'm a huge Biggie (Smalls) fan. I listen to rap on the way to practice and whatever I've been playing just loops through my head as I swim."
And his daily workout lasts two-and-a-half hours and covers ten miles.
Fortunately, I suspect that audio art forms besides hip-hop (or, perhaps, an actual form of music), played on the internal audio system will also occupy the conscious mind and unleash the power of the unconscious.
So, whenever you have to engage the mind and body for an extended period, play your own internal music.
Fortunately, peak performance is the issue and there's no accounting for taste.

Many UK citizens want to settle or retire in Spain the land of sun, healthy food, villas and blue swimming pools. Only a few of these actually achieve their dream. What makes the difference?
The 5 Categories You Want To Succeed In
If it comes to the question what we really want in our life the answer is always "Pleasure". Whatever happens to you, your brain asks 2 questions. Does that mean pain or pleasure, and if it means pain, how can I avoid it.

The Characteristics of a Winner
As kind of a hobby I like to watch people. Just kind of sit back and quietly watch how they react and respond to others and their environment. Through the course of this activity I've noticed a few things that the real winners in life seem to have in common. I'd like to point out a few of these characteristics for the purpose of reinforcing them.
Enterprise Is Better than Ease
If we are involved in a project, how hard should we work at it? How much time should we put in?
What is Failure Anyway?
Does it surprise you that only 400 cokes were sold the first year; Albert Einstein's Ph.D. dissertation was rejected; Henry Ford had two bankruptcies before his famous success; or Ulysses S. Grant was working as a handyman, written off as a failure, eight years before becoming President of the United States?
I've been thinking a lot about what I believe to be the central challenge facing our clients right now, along with the rest of our society. It's not an original concept by any means, but more and more I come to believe that it is the key to unlocking every success principle in existence.

Why Many People Fail to Succeed
You are never a failure until you accept defeat as permanent and quit trying. Everyone faces defeat. It may be a stepping-stone or a stumbling block, depending on the mental attitude with which it is faced.

5 Key Ingredients of Business Success
What do you need to have for a successful business? Many people focus too much on the money part and neglect other important ingredients of a successful business. Here's the list of key ingredients for business success:
The Winner Walk
The Winner's Walk is a key strategy in the sport of life/business. When you meet somebody new, your perception of the person and what you feel about them is based 93% on body language. When you walk like a Winner, people will feel your presence and know you have something to offer. We all know people who are always filled with confidence and walk like they have just won a Gold Medal in the Olympics.
Profits Are Better Than Wages
My mentor, when I was 25 years old, dropped a phrase on me that changed my life forever when he said, "profits are better than wages. Wages will make you a living, profits can make you a fortune."
Of Courage and Greatness
Courage is something that is reflected and reciprocated, and is by no means, inherent. When we are ordinary, we are morally ample and when we are surreal, we are audacious. The need for temerity is amplified when we're bound to be representing it and it is lessened when it can be done without. Succinctly, it is material.
